Mario D'Arrigo
Mario D’Arrigo received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Engineering Physics from the
University of Michigan in 1966 and a Juris
Doctor from Syracuse University, College of Law
in 1972. Mr. D'Arrigo worked for Eastman Kodak
Company, Rochester, New York, as a quality
control engineer from 1966 through 1969, when he
entered law school. Upon graduation from
Syracuse University College of Law, he returned
to Kodak where he worked for one year as a
patent attorney. He left Kodak in 1973 to enter
private practice in Liverpool, New York. He was
admitted to practice in New York and before the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1973.
He is also admitted to practice before all New
York State and Federal Courts, including the
Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the
U. S. District Court for the Northern District
of New York. He is a member of the Onondaga
County Bar Association. Mr. D'Arrigo generally
practices in matrimonial law, real estate,
commercial law and litigation, including
commercial construction contracts and disputes,
zoning matters, municipal law, land development
and subdivision, and litigation associated
therewith.
As a lifetime Board member of the Home Builders
& Remodelers of Central New York, Inc., Mr.
D'Arrigo was solely responsible for the drafting
of nearly all of the association's standard
contracts, including the Residential Purchase
and Construction Contract and Limited Warranty,
widely used throughout the Central New York area
by the association’s member builders. Mr.
D'Arrigo also holds a degree in Engineering and
brings a wealth of practical construction and
design experience to the Firm's traditional
residential real estate practice.
Mr. D'Arrigo has been the principal of the Firm
in Liverpool, New York since 1983. Mr. D’Arrigo
resides in Jamesville with his wife, and has
three adult children. Mr. D’Arrigo currently
serves as a Member of the Onondaga County
Environmental Council on Environmental Health.
Robert M. Cote
Robert M. Cote received a Bachelor of Arts
Degree from Dartmouth College in 1988 and a
Juris Doctor from Syracuse University, College
of Law in 1996. Mr. Cote previously worked in
the insurance industry as an account executive
for a major insurer and later as an insurance
broker before entering law school. Mr. Cote is
admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of the
State of New York, the U.S. District Court for
the Northern District of New York, and is a
member of the Onondaga County Bar Association.
Mr. Cote joined D'Arrigo Law Offices in 2003 and
is of counsel to the firm. He
concentrates his practice on matrimonial law,
real estate, landlord/tenant law, wills and
probate, civil litigation and general business
matters. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Cote
worked for seven years in the municipal finance
industry as bond counsel to various debt
issuers, municipalities, and school districts
throughout New York State. In addition, Mr. Cote
also has served as underwriter's counsel to
several investment banks, including Goldman
Sachs & Co., Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley,
First Albany Corporation, JP Morgan Chase,
Shattuck Hammond Partners, Roosevelt & Cross,
and Greenwich Partners on a variety of taxable
and tax-exempt bond offerings.
Mr. Cote resides in Manlius with his wife and
two children. He is a past member of the Board
of Directors of Contact Community Services, Inc.
and the Fayetteville-Manlius Youth Lacrosse
Association.
Our Staff
Joann F. Packard
is the firm’s Real Estate Legal Assistant with
over 25 years of experience with the firm in
real estate closings. Working exclusively in
real estate matters, Ms. Packard regularly works
with attorneys and real estate professionals
throughout the area and is widely recognized
throughout the community as an experienced real
estate professional. Ms. Packard works closely
with Mr. D’Arrigo and Mr. Cote in all aspects of
real estate transactions and regularly assists
them in the documentation and preparation of
wide variety of business transactions.
Mary Ellen Barth
is the Firm’s Administrative Assistant with over
sixteen (16) years of experience with the Firm.
Ms. Barth regularly prepares documents under the
supervision of the Firm’s attorneys and further
assists the attorneys and Ms. Packard in the
Firm’s business practice.
